Since nearly 70% of our members were not online we secured funding from Foundation Scotland to buy tablets & data packages to loan to members. Our partnerships with Wise Group and GDA made it possible to supply even more tablets to help them access our many Zooms; daily catch-ups, planning meetings, social events, relaxation zooms, information and learning sessions.
To fill the gap in our members’ tech knowhow & experience we ran training workshops, skillshares & one to one sessions. Being able to join in online became a lifeline to members; helping to reduce isolation & loneliness particularly for members that were shielding. As well as joining our online programme members were able to access other tools, information and courses; really valuable when almost everything moved online.
The decision to host hybrid meetings, both in the building & via Zoom, was made as we realised some members’ engagement during lockdown increased because of Zoom & this continues to be the case for some members when they feel unable to come into the building.
Thanks to Impact funding we were able to recently buy some much needed tech equipment to make these meetings & day to day Clubhouse tasks possible.
Our Zoom programme changes with the seasons, reducing in Spring to make way for our Outdoor Activities
