For our September weekend day trip this year, we visited the National Museum in Edinburgh. 21 members travelled through by bus, picked up some lunch and went for a look around the museum. Some people went into the current ‘Little Black Dress’ exhibition, whilst some wandered around the other areas, including technology and animal exhibits.
“We met at Buchanan street bus station and we all got on the bus for free. At the Museum it was free to get in, it was a nice big building close to Waverley station, I walked about and 1 area had areoplanes and steam machines then we all sort of split up, people came and went around freely by themselves, we had one rule and that was to meet at the front at 1.30pm to come home.”
“This was my first chance to see such a huge museum, as well as my first glimpse of Edinburgh itself. I had to a great day.”
“I took a picture of some Buddist deities, I liked the panda in the animal section.”
